Let’s start with the basics. The Revision Killer SQE Study Notes come in two volumes: one for Substantive Law (Book 1) and one for Procedural Law (Book 2). Together, they cover the full scope of FLK1 and FLK2. You can buy each book individually, but most students who purchase one end up returning for the second. The bundle offers better value — and just makes sense if you're serious about covering the full syllabus.
Our flashcards have also become a go-to for many students. They're portable, focused, and designed for quick recall — and there’s more to come. New tools are in development to support how students study and prepare, not just what they study.
What’s important to know is that our books are revision tools, not textbooks. They don’t contain narrative or case commentary. They’re designed to help you manage the sheer volume of law the SQE demands, written with clarity and precision, and mapped directly to the SRA’s assessment specification. These are not edited lecture notes or repurposed LPC content. They were built from the ground up for the SQE.
That said, many students at ULaw, BPP, BarBri and COLP have found them incredibly useful, especially as an alternative to bulky provider manuals and textbooks. We often hear that students bring them to SQE workshops because they’re easier to navigate and reference on the go.
At the time of writing the first edition, Sunit Tejura, our founder, was a Senior Lecturer in Law at Roehampton University, having previously taught at Kaplan for 7 years. The books reflect not just his academic and legal experience, but also what he’s learned from working closely with SQE students from all backgrounds.
If you’re a first-time SQE student, a law graduate enrolled at a provider, or a qualified lawyer re-qualifying through the SQE, these notes can help you study more efficiently. But they are not a shortcut. The SQE is a demanding, high-stakes exam. It requires discipline, strategy, and access to a range of tools. We’ve designed ours to support that journey, not replace it.
We also update the books twice a year — in August and May — to reflect legal developments and changes from the SRA Kaplan Annual Review. The content stays current, and we incorporate lessons from student feedback and statistical data.
If you’re still unsure whether they’re right for you, we encourage you to look at the sample chapters on our website and check out the product walkthroughs on TikTok and Instagram. We also post free tutorials and analysis of the SRA Kaplan Statistical Reports, which are packed with insights into how students succeed and where they struggle.
Yes, we do work with student influencers, but only those actively enrolled at SQE providers and genuinely documenting their journey. If you see a discount code in circulation, it’s likely come from one of them. It's a small way to make things more accessible.
We understand that our books might not be for everyone. Some students prefer more narrative, deeper explanation, or traditional examples. That’s why we offer a 14-day return window — so you can try the books and see if they fit your revision style. You can read our full Returns Policy here.
The truth is, the SQE was meant to open up the legal profession. In reality, it’s created new challenges and financial barriers, especially for students from underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds. That’s exactly why we started Revision Killer — to give students a better way to study, and a fairer chance at passing.
Whatever your path, we’re here to help. And if you ever have a question, just ask.
